Representing upstream petroleum operators in Namibia. Working together for a sustainable energy future.
NAMPOA is a
non-profit voluntary association established in 1992 to represent Namibia’s
upstream oil and gas operators and provide
a collaborative interface
between industry, Government, regulators, communities and the public.
The association enables
members to develop informed, harmonised industry positions and to
engage constructively on policies, regulations and initiatives that support responsible petroleum
development. In line with NDP6’s whole-of-government-and-society approach,
NAMPOA works with public and private stakeholders to advance inclusive and
sustainable growth, economic transformation, resilience, skills development,
local value creation and employment opportunities.
More than

As active
corporate citizens and development partners, NAMPOA
members promote equal opportunity, prevention of unfair discrimination,
corporate social investment, safety and responsible
management of environmental impacts.
Through
NAMPOA, members also contribute practical industry expertise and coordinated
action that can assist Government in advancing national objectives.
