NAMPOA had the pleasure of engaging with the CEO of the Bankers Association of Namibia, Dantagos Jimmy, to discuss the financial infrastructure readiness of Namibia’s banking sector and matters incidental thereto within the context of the country’s growing oil and gas industry.

Recently, NAMPOA had the honour of engaging with the Chairperson of the Directorate: Law Reform & Development Commission, Etuna Josua, and the Deputy Chief, Mutindi Lydia Jacobs on legal development matters incidental to Namibia’s growing oil and gas industry.

The engagement focused on identifying laws and regulatory areas that may require development, review, or updating as the sector evolves, while also seeking to better understand Government priorities and how industry can constructively support these processes.

This forms part of the broader stakeholder engagement process, and we look forward to continued dialogue and further formal engagements in due course.

As Namibia’s upstream sector continues to develop, collaborative and forward-looking legal and policy discussions remain important in supporting a stable, competitive, and well-governed industry environment.
