Our Purpose

NAMPOA is a non-profit voluntary association established in 1992 to represent Namibia’s upstream oil and gas operators and to provide an interface between industry, Government, regulators, communities and the public. 

The association supports a competitive, transparent and practical operating environment by encouraging professional cooperation, knowledge sharing, responsible exploration, policy dialogue and inclusive stakeholder engagement.
