NAMPOA was pleased to participate in the Namibia Youth Energy Forum’s Namibia Energy Connect & Energy Trailblazer Awards of 2025, where we joined key stakeholders in a much-needed dialogue on Namibia’s energy future.
As part of this year’s programme, NAMPOA exhibited at the conference and was represented on the panel discussion titled: “From Discovery to Development: Namibia’s Upstream Journey & the Promise of the Orange Basins.”
Our Chairperson, Eduardo Rodriguez Tamayo (Shell), and one of our members, Rhino Resources Ltd Resources (represented by Ndakolo Haiduwa), contributed insights on the realities, responsibilities, and potential of this moment in Namibia’s upstream journey.
We also acknowledge and commend TotalEnergies as the event sponsor. Their outgoing Managing Director, Laurent ROCHE, delivered a deeply grounded and heartfelt message on youth empowerment that goes beyond rhetoric and demonstrates real commitment.

As the representative body of upstream operators in Namibia, NAMPOA remains committed to contributing to spaces of shared learning, transparent dialogue and collaborative capacity-building.
