OUR MEMBERS

Over the last few decades, our members have made substantial contributions to the Petroleum Training and Education Fund (PETROFUND). Operators partner with the Government of the Republic of Namibia on operational activities, particularly the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and the National Petroleum Corporation (NAMCOR).

Important contributions of the oil and gas sector have been the capacity building and skills development in the petroleum industry, the funding of local and international university programs, and voluntary social investment programs that address the key social issues facing the Namibian society today.

NAMPOA members have been instrumental in not only increasing the understanding of the petroleum geology of the region, but continue to contribute to the Namibian economy as investors and support Namibia’s economic development. As active corporate citizens, NAMPOA members promote equal opportunity, prevention of unfair discrimination, corporate social investment, safety and managing environmental impacts.

As an association, our members have also shared expertise, experience and data with the MME and NAMCOR to enrich the capability of the oil industry in Namibia.
