NAMPOA had the privilege of engaging the Upstream Petroleum Unit (UPU) this week in Swakopmund, in a forward-looking working session as part of our ongoing collaboration.
The engagement reaffirmed the principles we value most: structured dialogue, collaboration, and a shared commitment to building Namibia’s oil and gas industry responsibly and sustainably.
The UPU demonstrated commendable leadership, openness and diligence throughout the engagement. The dialogue centred around critical industry input, including local content, legislative developments, infrastructure planning, immigration processes and broader sector coordination. The depth of engagement reflects the diligence and careful work underway to ensure policy, regulation and implementation remain aligned with Namibia’s national objectives.
NAMPOA presented its 2026 workstreams and priority areas outlining opportunities for strengthened communication, alignment, and practical next steps across key initiatives.
