NAMPOA was pleased to host representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy led by Deputy Under Secretary of Energy, Mike Kopp, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), led by Sonia Hogen and the U.S. Embassy in Namibia, led by Ambassador John Giordano for a constructive engagement with our member companies on Namibia’s evolving energy landscape.

The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the progress of Namibia’s offshore oil and gas industry, opportunities across the value chain, and the critical role of collaboration in supporting sustainable sector development.

As Namibia’s petroleum sector continues to mature, engagements such as these are important for fostering international partnerships, sharing knowledge, and ensuring that industry development contributes to long-term economic growth, investment, and local participation.

NAMPOA appreciates the ongoing interest in Namibia’s energy future and looks forward to continued dialogue with stakeholders committed to the responsible development of the country’s resources.
