The Namibia Petroleum Operators Association (NAMPOA) was proud to participate in the Youth in Oil and Gas Summit in Walvis Bay, an important platform bringing together industry, government, academia and the youth to shape Namibia’s energy future.
Our Executive Director, Festus F. Hangula, joined fellow industry leaders on the panel discussion, “From Discovery to Development: What Namibia Must Get Right Before First Oil,” contributing to a strategic conversation on project readiness, local content, skills development, financing and operator expectations.
NAMPOA’s Suoma Andreas also had the privilege of moderating the panel “From Shorebase to Offshore: Building Namibia’s Offshore Operations Ecosystem Before First Oil,” alongside an outstanding group of young women leading in highly technical roles across the industry. The discussion highlighted the capability and expertise required to build a competitive industry.
As an association, we are honoured to support the Youth in Oil & Gas Summit and its mission of empowering the next generation of Namibian energy professionals. The quality of discussions and level of youth participation reaffirmed that Namibia is developing not only a world-class petroleum industry, but also the talent that will sustain it.
Congratulations to Justina Erastus and the organising team on delivering an exceptional summit. Your commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for learning and dialogue makes a lasting contribution to Namibia’s energy future.
